A top casino game developer, Aristocrat Gaming, has pledged a significant contribution of $500,000 to the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). This group is doing commendable work to support Indigenous learners and experts in STEM disciplines.

Aristocrat Gaming is dedicated to backing AISES’s initiatives, especially the impressive RISE fund, which concentrates on offering educational and professional pathways in STEM for Indigenous students and professionals, encompassing those drawn to the casino and gaming sector.

This financial support will also furnish essential scholarships, apprenticeships, and other career advancement initiatives. The CEO of AISES, Sarah EchoHawk, is enthusiastic about this collaboration and stresses the significance of boosting Indigenous participation in STEM. She posits that by disseminating their narratives and involving the gaming sector, they can achieve substantial progress in this domain.

At present, the AISES scholarship program assists 20 students nationwide who are pursuing qualifications connected to the casino and gaming sector.

Past their first contribution, Aristocrat Gaming has committed to $30,000 in support for the yearly AISES gathering. This promise highlights their devotion to cultivating Indigenous talent within the gaming field.

James Starr, Head of VGT at Aristocrat Gaming, stressed their dedication, saying, “As a delighted ally for more than six years, we are excited to strengthen our bond with AISES. Putting resources into the future workforce of the gaming industry and enabling Native individuals in STEM learning and professions is crucial.”

This declaration follows a study showcasing the impressive rise of tribal gaming income, which hit an unprecedented $40.9 billion in the 2022 fiscal year. This expansion emphasizes the importance of backing groups like AISES that are essential in providing Native Americans with the resources and chances to flourish in this dynamic sector.
