Newarkode has finished selecting its board of executives after a recent gathering of shareholders.
The firm suggested the selection of Christopher Bell as non-executive leader in January, and he was chosen as an independent director. Bell has worked for Hilton Group and Ladbrokes for two decades, and has held non-executive roles at several organizations including Rank and Games Group.
Aidan de Brennar, former head of Morgan Stanley and partner at Arrowglass Capital, was also chosen as an independent director, while Antonio Moya-Angler was selected as a qualified shareholder director. Qualified shareholder directors are chosen by investors who own at least 20% of the company’s stock.
Moya-Angler worked for over 15 years at private equity giant Advent International in Mexico, Colombia, Brazil and France, serving as managing director and a member of its Latin American investment committee.
Code Group CEO Vincent Di Loreto will join the board as a company director, a role he has held throughout the restructuring period.
The remaining four members of the board are Lawrence Beaver, Isabelle Lambert, Matthew Kakar and Sandra Egan, who serve as directors.
The newly appointed board will collaborate with the Neuvo Codere leadership group to accomplish several objectives, including restoring the business to its pre-pandemic state and concentrating on expansion prospects. The organization explicitly mentioned that it sees substantial opportunities in Spain, Mexico, and the online realm, and will continue to enhance its omnichannel technological platform and strategy.
“I am confident that Nueva Codere has a promising future,” stated Bell. “The management team’s expertise and experience, coupled with the talent of the directors I will be working alongside, make me very optimistic about the new chapter the company is embarking on.”
In November 2021, Codere was acquired by creditors as part of a restructuring accord reached in April of that same year.
