The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has levied a $35,000 penalty against Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack for permitting gambling by minors.
The PGCB reported that individuals younger than 21 years old were able to enter the casino’s main area and engage in gambling activities. Chester Downs and Marina, the casino’s management company, was penalized $35,000 for breaking rules.
The PGCB also imposed a $13,000 fine on SportsHub. The authorized fantasy contest operator was determined to have altered the ownership of its license without obtaining PGCB authorization.
In other news, the PGCB has declared that it will impose bans on individuals who leave children unsupervised in casinos. Those found guilty of this offense will be included on the state’s list of individuals who are involuntarily excluded.
